4 body-inches horizontally from the point VG:24, somewhat ahead of the fronto-pariental suture

1 body-inch behind the end of the eyebrow and the corner of the eye

Approximately 2 millimeters away from the inner corner of the eye

On the mid-line of the head, at the periental eminence in the sagittal suture. Draw a line from the tips of both ears to join on the mid-line of the head

The two depressions behind the neck, below the mastoid.

Located on the posterior mid-line of the neck, just below the occipital basis

Instructions:

Generally apply continuing pressure on both CO:4 points first, then combine other points wherever the pain is located. Assistant points can be used along without CO:4 if the headache is not severe. Apply a few sets of pressure, as needed to stop the pain.

Note: The assistant points are indicated with a "F*" as forehead points, "T*" for temple area points, "E*" for eye area points, "H*" for points at the top of the head, and "O*" for occipital area points.

Located on the forearm, on the cubital artery at the flexure of the wrist

Located on the sole of the foot, within the crease formed when the toes are flexed

3 body-inches above the medial malleolus, behind the tibia.
*Pregnant women should avoid using this point!

Instructions:

1.

Apply 5 sets of pressure on point B.E.B. and 1 minute of Continuing Pressure on point HT:7 before retiring for the night.

2.

Combine KI:1 and SP:6 if the patient suffers from dizziness, headaches, constipation, loss of appetite and agitated behaviors; use 3 sets of pressure on each point.

Suggestions:

1.

Avoid stimulating entertainments such as reading and watching T.V. before bed time.

2.

Try to eat 5 dates and drink a glass of hot milk 1/2 hour before retiring.

3.

Don't force yourself to sleep if you don't want to. Repeat 5 sets of pressure on point HT:7.

4.

Try the "Good Night Tea" for a more restful night.

Stomach 35, Kidney 1X & 2X

Located outside of the rotator tendon, above the plateau of the tibia

On the top of the knee cap

At the middle of the popliteal area, on the crease of the fold

On the inside aspect of the knee cap depression

Instructions:

1.

Apply firm, continuing pressure on point ST:35 and K:1X for 30 seconds, and then rotating pressure for 1 minute.

2.

Apply double-thumb pressure on point BL:54 for 3 sets.

3.

Repeat step 1 for K:2X.

Suggestions: Try the "Soup for the joints" to strengthen your knees!

Circular Rubbing Motion

Located upon the anterior surface of the leg, between the tibialis anterior and the tibia, at 3 body-inches below the patella

Instructions:

1.

Apply 3 sets of pressure on point VC:12, then massage the region with a deep, circular pressure for 2-3 minutes.

2.

Apply firm and deep pressure on point ST:36 for 1 minute, 1/2 an hour before meals.

3.

Apply 3 sets of pressure on point SP:6 before retiring at night.

Suggestions:

1.

Perform mild exercises such as walking, daily.

2.

Try the "Orange Peel Soup" to regain your appetite!

Bladder 23 & Governing Vessel 4

Instructions:

1.

Massage the lower back area until red and warm. Apply hot compresses as necessary for 20 mins.

2.

Apply double-thumb pressure to points BL:23, VG:4, BL:37 & BL:40, 3 sets plus rotating pressure for 1 min. on each point.

3.

Apply the same pressure as step 2 on all trigger points along the spine.

Suggestions:

1.

Avoid heavy lifting and active exercises

2.

Keep injured or painful areas warm at all times

3.

Sleep on a hard bed if necessary

4.

Try the "Soup for the Joints" to combat your lower back pain!

Conceptive Vessel 4 & Ovary Point

Measure 4 body-inches below the navel (VC:3), then 3 body-inches horizontally

*SP:6

3 body-inches above the medial malleolus, behind the tibia.
*Pregnant women should avoid using this point!

Instructions:

1.

Apply 3-5 sets of pressure on points VC:4 and SP:6, and add ovary points (2) if the pain or discomfort persists.

2.

Massage the *sacral region for 1-2 min. until warm to the touch, or apply hot compresses for 15 min. if the patient is weak or tired.

3.

Usually point SP:6 works well alone.
